US NAVY Network Support

MITS currently supports TEMPLAN networks associated with over 65 ships (surface and submarine) physically located all around the world weekly. This work includes migration of the ships critical network Virtual Machines as well as all the associated data. For a typical unit, the amount of data being migrated is about 10TB per ship. In total MITS has successfully migrated over 410TB of data.

Cybersecurity

MITS Cybersecurity Team protects networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage, or unauthorized access. With over a decade of combined experience, the team’s Software Developers provide secure coding guidance for all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including risk assessment, potential threats, best-practice programmatic support, vulnerability assessments, server and network security, and ongoing vulnerability guidance. The MITS Cybersecurity Team runs vulnerability scans, generates reports, and has the expertise to perform manual code reviews for vulnerabilities at every level. The Cybersecurity Team works closely with the R&D Team to fix vulnerabilities and provide detailed solutions.

Simulation & Modeling

MITS is recognized as an industry leader in creating and supporting modeling and management environments within the government. We provide cutting-edge solutions with real time data that delivers demonstrative value to our customers.

At MITS, many of our projects require a high degree of testing data that may not be easily available in a real-world environment. Modeling and Simulation (M&S) allows us to create a testing environment virtually, with the ability to apply the same conditions found in a physical setting. For the MITS Fish submarine project, it is often not possible to place the MITS Fish in the open water for capabilities testing. M&S processes allow us to glean hydrodynamic performance, wave action stability, and ballast requirements safely without having to leave the lab.

Fleet Forces Command

MITS provides critical support to Fleet Forces Command that includes ship maintenance and network transfers to allow for the  continuous use of their LAN while docked in the shipyard.

Wireless Connectivity Bridge

Wireless Connectivity Bridge (WCB) is a wireless data solution providing secure network connectivity directly to the ships through an affordable, upgradable, and scalable solution.  In less than 6 months, the team had the first WCB systems installed, tested, and operational in both San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA to support ship TempLANs. These are prototype installations utilizing commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment.  COTS equipment allows a quicker more flexible response to current and future needs. Initial WCB testing data shows up to 40 times more speed than the previous T-1 lines, with extremely low latency.  WCB will be fielded at shipyards to support US Navy ships in maintenance availabilities.
