MI Technical Solutions seeks qualified candidate to fill an immediate opening for an experienced Network Engineer.
Work with the Wireless Connectivity Solutions team to design, implement, and maintain system and equipment installation projects in various areas of the country. The incumbent will be involved in research and development projects in the wireless connectivity solutions area.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, upgrade, and maintain wireless connectivity systems Continual Service Improvement – Brainstorm and implement future system improvements.
- Discover problems and provide solutions to issues that arise. Utilize logic and reasoning when troubleshooting difficult issues. Develop solutions to challenges, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time.
- Oversee design, implementation and execution of the network security hardware/software maintenance and upgrades. Responsible for infrastructure engineering, maintenance, and support of complex network security systems and tools used to protect and support multiple enterprise networks.
- Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
- Imagine innovative and effective new solutions and designs.
- Speak to and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, such as clients, sub-contractors, vendors, management, cybersecurity, and network engineering staff during the development, installation, and maintenance of a system.
- Create control features to ensure systems effectively meet the company’s quality standards.
- Engage in quality control procedures to ensure that systems are efficient and operational.
- Serve as technical point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
- Understand and appropriately respond to feedback.
- Communicate with management to keep projects aligned with company goals.
- Communicate effectively to relay important information, conduct training, and communicate solutions to complex challenges.
- Maintain and evaluate network systems and communications.
- Establish network troubleshooting guidelines.
- Assist with network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of network communications Configure various network devices and services.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years’ experience in an IT or Engineering related field; or 6+ years direct experience supporting IT network engineering systems.
- Possess government clearance or have the ability to obtain a clearance.
- Exceptional degree of customer-service orientation.
- Security+, Network+, CCNA certifications a plus.
- Prior Military experience preferred.
- Perform other duties within this scope as assigned.
